Tax Trainee

We’re looking for a motivated individual who wants to kick-start their career in tax and accountancy, sound like you?

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A graduate (or school leaver with strong A-levels) interested in a career in tax
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail
  • A proactive and eager-to-learn attitude

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the preparation of tax returns for individuals and businesses
  • Supporting senior staff with tax advisory work and compliance
  • Liaising with clients and HMRC on tax matters
  • Keeping up to date with tax legislation and regulations

Payroll Trainee

We’re looking for a motivated individual to join our Payroll team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills and gain valuable experience in payroll processing within an accountancy practice.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A keen interest in payroll and finance
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn payroll software
  • AAT or payroll-related studies (desirable but not essential)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the processing of payroll for a variety of clients
  • Ensuring accurate calculations of salaries, deductions, and statutory payments
  • Handling payroll queries from clients and employees
  • Maintaining accurate payroll records and ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations
  • Assisting with pension contributions and auto-enrolment processes
  • Supporting the payroll team with administrative tasks as required
